What Treatment Is Available?

If discovered early enough, there are three common treatment choices available: Surgery, Chemotherapy, and Radiology. Although these options are available, many patients are diagnosed too late, and the focus switches improving quality of life. Treatments are themselves very aggressive, and invasive, and in many cases not recommended.

Early detection is the best way to fight asbestos-related disease. If you have been exposed to asbestos for an extended period of time and have not shown any symptoms, it is still a good idea to see your physician and take tests to rule out health problems.

If detected early enough your doctor may recommend surgery, experimental drugs, or other medicine and therapy, as well as lifestyle changes.
